So Trade, Is this something you CAN do? You had mentioned being in a Condo! Ours is on the hip of our roof, not real big, but interesting looking! We are enjoying it!

We're not allowed to have ANYTHING on the roof. Some kind of dish I could probably get through but this AM I checked with the AT&T Cingular place & they have a card that gives high speed but it works with a laptop only. I want a laptop so I think I might go with that. It's $150.00 up front & $59.00 + tax per month (she said it would be about $63.00 total). I'll try that after the first of the year if they can get me a faster connection than 31 KBPS dial-up.

Yes... just over a 3 foot dish. Very high and forgiving look angle (45-55%) depending on assignment so they can usually be hidden depending on the property. Same size I saw on almost every gas station and store in the states this weekend. They use them for super reliable CC transactions. Like I said....not for everyone but probably the most reliable. Easily dismantled and re-assembled after a bad storm for next day internet if you have a generator. Also a great primary or backup for offices that NEED to be connected.
