For all you VI homeschoolers out there, I have set up a yahoo group for Virgin Islanders. My intentions are to create a place to correspond, network and find information pertaining to homeschoolers in the VI. Since it is a brand new group, I need homeschoolers help to fill it with necessary information. It is intended for use by all the islands. Here is the link:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/homeschoolusvi/

or you can email me at [email protected] and I can send you an invite. For those who have not used a web group before it provides many useful features including a calendar which I hope will provide a means to schedule outings, share information, etc. Additionally, it includes the ability to post messages.

Last, as "owner" of the group I will not share your information with anyone.

Thanks,
Natalie

Hi Natalie,
My name is Susan. My almost 11 year old daughter (Sophie) and my husband (John) have just moved to St Thomas.I would love to be part of your home school yahoo group.
We enjoy a wide range of activities.Sophie is really into ornithology, sciences, fishing, fly tying, and snorkeling she is working on her diving cert.
Together we like to DIY,and can be found making soaps, brews, sewing projects and lots of messes.
We are looking for other other kids who would like to play and hang out on the beach and do projects with.I am also looking for other home school parents to trade curriculum, books and ideas with.
Would you please post this on your site.
If any home school parent would like to contact me directly my e-mail address is [email protected]
Thank you,
Cheers,
Susan
