Hello to all. My husband and I were hoping that we would be able to continue working on our archery skills and he was hoping there would be some hunting on the island. Does anyone know anything about either one? Thanks for all of your help. One month and counting....

Ummmm...well, you can practice archery for sure. But, the only "hunting" there would be are iguanas, mongoose, scorpions, and the occasional loose goat or cow. (And I don't think the neighbors would like it if you shot their goat, cow, dog, cat, etc.) LOL... 🙂

Not much on the lines of hunting (ie: animals that are "killable") as far as I know. I think they wouldn't even want you to shoot at the iguanas or mongoose. The scorpions and tarantulas would probably be OK by everyone, though. 😉

Maybe Islander can help with this one...

PS...maybe you should "fine-tune" your archery and learn the art of spear-fishing. Same basic idea and more islandy! (Just watch for sharks when spear fishing) 🙂

There appears to be an open season on drug dealers year round, no license or safety classes required. I think you have to be one to shoot one, though.
Other than that, no hunting.
And Alix, there are deer on St. Croix. I see two-three per week at dawn and dusk.

You crack me up.....

I knew there were deer, but, is it legal to hunt them?

Alix

PS - Drug dealers, mosquitoes, scorpions, tarantulas.....that seems to be the general consensus......have at it!

Hello Stacy,

Which island?

For St. Thomas - I am not aware of any archery. There are some folks that go over to a couple of the unpopulated islands where there are goats and hunt them, other then that no hunting either.

Alix - There used to be deer hunting way back when, but not anymore. There aren't that many left.
