After coming to STX 9 months ago and having so many things seemingly "fall into place", I have saved and ride-shared (thanks guys - you know who you are!) and have finally gotten MY OWN!!! vehicle!! Yea!!!!
So, now I can re-aquaint my self with all the wonderful people that I met on this board way back - and some of you I've never met.
I was very (read VERY) fortunate that some very wonderful people have helped me along the way. I would never be able to pay them back - but would never have made it without them.
You can make it here w/o transportation - but it isn't easy. And even when you have it - plan, plan, plan.

Congrats Linda! Glad things are going well for you. You're right on.....there are a lot of very helpful/friendly people on this board with lots of invaluable info. I've only been posting for an extremely short time and already feel closer to these guys than my next door neighbors!!
I'm presently remodeling my house for a future sale and have found a lot of strength from these online pals. With their help/guidance every speed bump here only makes me that more determined.
I plan to meet up with as many as possible in the future to at least meet them and buy them dinner. What I've learned and will learn about is absolutely priceless!!
