Income taxes in the VI

What is the deal ith income and other taxes in the USVI. Is it the same as stateside?

Fom my understanding it is the same rate as the rest of the US, it's just that the money will stay in the USVI instead of going to Washington.

Someone please correct me if that's wrong!

That's my understandfing, as well. I never even look at my paycheck stubs! I don't even get to look at my check! I get it in a sealed envelope and when I get home I just give it to my wife. Maybe we should ask her? Haha!

Federal Income Tax = ame as VI Income Tax

State Tax = None in VI

Sales Tax = None in VI

Property Tax = Very Low

I just dug up a check stub (so THAT's what they look like!), and here are the deductions on mine:

-Federal W/D (highest, %-wise)
-FICA (a close second, %-wise)
-MEDICARE (lowest, %-wise)
