Innovative DSL Modem

I just got Innovative DSL working after a month of issues. The last straw was that even though I had a DSL modem from the states that worked at the ICC office (they let me test it) it didn't work at my house. I'm borrowing a spare from a friend now but he needs it back. Does anyone on STX have an extra Paradyne DSL modem that Innovative uses? Innovative wants $99 for a new one, I'd buy a used one for $50.

I might. I thought the one I bought a few months ago was called 'Zhone' or 'Zhune' or something similar and not Paradyne. Let me check and get back to you (I bought Innovative's DSL for our temporary house but now have Broadband VI in our permanent house so I'm not using my DSL modem.)

The one I recently returned (long story) was a Zhone. By the way, I am on Broadband VI now, and so far, so good!

Paradyne makes Zhone – or Zhone makes Paradyne, hard to say which. Anyway, my modem says Zhone and the instructions say Paradyne, so we're talking apples and apples here.

Using the borrowed modem and am happy to report at after a simple phone call they bumped me up to the 1 meg service. I am getting 1 meg up and 1 meg down which is great!

No rush on me getting another one as the one I'm borrowing won't be in use for a while.
