Is the VIWMA recycling Christmas trees?

Seems like such a waste when they can be turned into mulch instead of just tossed in the landfill.
Hopefully they are doing something with all the trees but I haven't seen any reference to it.

Anyone know?

It appears as if Gallows Bay Hardware are the only ones that brought in any trees, and that was only 1 trailer load.
That's hardly worth the effort for VIWMA compared to the tons of yard trimmings generated every weekend.

There were a couple places on STT that brought them in as well.
Too bad they don't have a mulching machine that you could take yard waste to, whether it was Christmas trees or yard waste.
