Happy New Year, everyone.

I have been trying to call WAPA for days. I know, with all the holidays this time of year, it can be difficult to reach them. Just need to know if I should keep trying today, Friday, Jan. 8.

Anyone know if they are open or closed?

Thanks!

See if you can find out on their website.
I called STT office and they're open.
Good luck.

Their new modernization policy for 2016 is not to answer the phone anymore.

Try going to the office and waiting in the line.

hah! So I called the main number and it rang and rang like 16 times.

So I called the electrical emergency number 773.0150.

After about 7 rings a young man answers saying WAPA St Thomas office (?!) So I asked if the St Croix office is open, because no one answers the phone. He said yes they are open and they are probably just really really busy!

It's possible too that they have a problem with their telephone lines.

While some of then are still on holiday the rest of them are running in the squirrel cages generating the electricity. Therefore, no one to answer the phones.

They have phones in the squirrel cages, they are just harder to hear.

I think we all know how absolutely frustrating it is to call WAPA and get no response whether daytime during business hours or at night for an emergency. Waiting, endlessly, listening to the recording, over and over again.

Someone needs to post Hugo's personal phone number and email as well as everyone on the PSC board.

About a year ago we had a power line sparking. It was about 8:00 at night. Never did get anyone at the WAPA emergency number to answer, so I finally called 911. WAPA was there in about 10 minutes.

So, when I got up this morning, the first thing I said to my husband was...."It's Sat., right...yay...that means I don't have to try calling WAPA all day!"

SMH...maybe Monday!!
