I've been on island for 21 years and one of the best conversational ice breakers at any party or gathering is to ask someone to tell you about their first island car and first island apartment.

Where'd you find it, get it, etc.?
Right here on this wonderful board. He and his wife are moving back to the states and needed to sell it. Great guy! Everyone I've shown it to thinks it's a great little car. I'm very happy with it and hope they were happy with the sale as well.
And I'm told I may have set a new record at Public Safety; 45 minutes!
Gotta go for another drive and get lost somewhere :}

thats awesome to hear.... i have been on stj for a month now trying to find a good island car and have not been so successful yet. I found one but it was way too busted up even for the price he was asking for. Oh well, I've been able to get around fine without one so far but I just know how much more convenient it will be for me when I finally land one. Enjoy!

Kevo~ try contacting Marty on this board, he found us a great Suzuki for my daughter, did an inspection told us what was wrong, how much and all that. I know he is very busy. PM me if you need his cell #!

Believe it or not I actually considered that island car thinking it 'might' be fixable....NOT! Glad I found the other one...
