Can anyone tell me if there is a ferry or something that runs in between St. Croix and the BVI (specifically Tortola and Virgin Gorda)? Also, if so, how long does it take? I was not sure if I lived on St. Croix if I would have to go back to St. Thomas to get to the BVI first? Been having trouble finding info on the net concerning the ferries and such. Thanks!

several little island hopper plane companies and american. look under island hopping on vinow.com or gotostcroix.com stx is the vi's ugly red headed stepchild, getting to here and from here is never as cheap or easy as the other islands.

Between STX and STT, you have:

Seaborne (Seaplane). Fast. Efficient. From Waterfront on STT to C'Sted in STX. No airport waiting time or screens. But no night-flying.

Cape Air/American Airlines. Airport to airport. Night-flying.

Thank you guys very much for your help. I went to this website vinow.com and under ferry schedules it appears that there is a ferry, but only two times a day does it operate. Can anyone confirm this is still current? Thanks again!

The ferry between STT and STX is now being run by Smith's Ferry Services on STT and It is only running Friday through Monday. Their website has not been updated to reflect this service yet but their phone number is 340-775-7292. I just called and verified this information is still current.

The ferry services between STX and STT come and go like the Trade Winds. I know looking at a map rather gives an outsider the impression that all the islands are very close to each other but STX is VERY remote boat-wise from the rest of the USVIs and BVIs and that big stretch of water between STX and STT can get mighty choppy!
