hello all
is there a jeep dealer on stx ? we are looking to purchase a new wrangler and were wondering if it pays to buy and ship it or to get it on island.
thanks for the help

Yes. There are tons of jeeps on Island (and a dealer). But, you can probably find a used one and not have to deal with a dealer or shipping.

Or road tax!(don`t overlook this, .16/lb. ..it adds up!
Just remember, our vehicles are generally much more abused (by our very hilly terrain, incompetent drivers & mechanics(NOT all, just most).

Of course, if you get a taxi medallion, you can have your cake & eat it as you don`t have to pay road tax(or any other tax it seems).
Also, despite the lack of supporting the local government or economy, you`ll have tons of political power, & you can have ANY business that competes & does pay taxes eradicated too!

Chrysler Dodge Jeep of ST Croix 340 713-5337. See what they have in stock and get a quote. They also service what they sell. Unless you can get a really great deal from a Miami dealer, I would stay Local. The Dealer on the island will do all the necessary paper work, plates, ins etc for you. Good Luck8-)

Dun. Is that .16 per pound per year / registration ? Or just a one time tax ?

Chockman,
One time tax, go up to the servce directory on the top of this page, click it go to the blue titles on the left click shipping a car, it give you all the fee's and requirements.:-)
