Kia dealer/Service center on STT and warranty support?

Hello all--

Am moving to the island at the end of the month and was looking at getting a car shipped from Miami. My questions are:

Does a US Bought car carry warranty over to STT if bought on the landmass and shipped?

Is there a Kia authorised dealership on STT? I think I remember reading that there was one.

I am thinking of buying stateside and shipping due to inflated on island prices and shifty quality of island cars from my research...I know I'll have to pay the import tax etc by importing the car but am just trying to weigh the pros and cons. A $14,000 50K mile Suzuki Vitara is just too much for me to swallow on island I believe.

Thanks so much!

Yes, there is a dealer and yes, they cover the warranty. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples price wise as there is shipping,, and several taxes to deal with. Maybe the local dealer will match your price if it is in fact less.
