Hello all,

Through the advice of all you wise ones and a little research we have decided to home school our children and are now wondering if anybody knows anything about how I might be able to give the kids some social interaction with other kids with the same plight? I would assume parks, beach ect... but is there anything structured for this? I know you regulars are thinking man, this subject is played out. Lol. Please just bear with me, I don't have my island tan as of yet. Thanks all.

What island? There's a playground on the north side of STT that a lot of moms bring their little ones to.

There is a mom's club on St. Croix that meets once or twice a week for playdates at the beach etc. PM me if you are interested in the contact info.

Hello Tammy,

I look forward to the chance of meeting you and letting our kids have some fun! I will be coming down in a few weeks for a PMV and would love to get together and meet. How you liking the islands? We are nervous and excited at the same time. Have a good day and can't wait to meet you.

Can't wait to meet you as well. I love St. Croix. It is great fun for our adventurous son but we do lack for playmates.
Let me know when you arrive. I will PM you with my number. Have a great day.

Tammy

Actually, I wanted to know the same thing only for STT!?!?!
When my kids were little, we had a play group, met twice a week, once at the beach, the other at the tot lot on the North side. Anyone know if this still is going on?

on STX, you can get your kids involved in some youth athletics or other activities where they can meet kids. You can also take them to the sporting events and other activities at the private schools and they will meet lots of kids quickly. Depending on their ages, you might sign them up for tennis lessons or SCUBA lessons or music lessons or they can try out for the competitive swim team called the Dolphins, etc.

Take them to the hermit crab races at Brew Pub or the Deep End Bar and there will be dozens of kids around. There are often a bunch of kids playing together while their parents have dinner at Cheeseburgers in Paradise.

Kids on STX tend to have an active social life and there are lots of play dates and outings going on.
