LindaJ had her other knee replaced this morning. She came thru the surgery just fine and all looks good. When I left her, she was in no pain and was awake and alert. She should be out of the hospital in four or five days and back to STX the first week of March.

That's good news. They do some amazing things with that type surgery now.

Linda:

If you are reading this, best wishes and having a bionic knee, I can't stress enough how important the rehab part is. Not comfortable, but it had me playing tennis by the end.

If you need anything when you are back on island, just drop me a note,

Warmly,

Dan

Danieljude,
Thanks for the advice. She did a good job on the rehab with the left knee. She's already doing a good job on the right one. She does exercised three times a day and walks (30 ft or so) several times a day. As far as her playing tennis, I doubt it. I have know the woman since she was 14. She couldn't play tennis when she was young much less now that she is old. I just hope she gets to the point she can carry her own dive gear into the sea.

Ric, I'm sure she wouldn't make an old man like you carry her dive gear for her! 🙂

Hello all,

Well, I'm back at my sister's. The new knee is functioning well. 6 weeks of rehab here and then 4 weeks on STX. My plan is to spend March on STX doing my rehab and visiting beaches before going back to work. I'm still a little loopy from the narcotics and PT is harder than I remember, but everyone seems to be pleased with my progress.

I'll keep you posted.
