I forgot to add this in my original post (Bostonian Here!)...how difficult is it to live on STT (and the other islands) without a vehicle? There is NO WAY i'll be bringing one down there with me....will I need to purchase one to live down there? Or can you get by without one if you have a good set of wheels? I plan on waitressing or bartending, by the way..

Not sure what you mean by that if you're asking whether you need to have a car unless you mean a bike? It's very difficult to live here without a car. It limits you quite a bit & if you're waitressing or bartending I assume you'll be working some nights. Public transportation isn't the best, doesn't run 24 hours/day & may not go where you need to go. Taxis are expensive. I'd buy an island car if I were you.

Trade has very good and valid points. You CAN live here without a car, but it's not easy. You'll have to shop by safari or bum rides and all. But you can find ISLAND CAR'S really cheap here all the time, in fact, I HAVE ONE I owuld sell. But it needs a brake job before it can be driven, I'll sell it really cheap and it IS already inspected until like May or June.

But definitely plan on buying SOMETHING to drive when you get here.

Thanks! I just meant is it even realistic to live there without one...and as far as the brake job is concerned...that's what would worry me most about buying a car there...I was there on a vacation about a year ago on an open air bus going downhill at 128937 miles per hour with a SCARY driver...
