I was married in August of 2004 in St Thomas @ The Grand Bay Palace formerly the Renassaince, next to Coki Beach. Well a day or so before our wedding i met a guy who was a photographer working at Coki Beach He had a little stand and he sold shirts, bags, mousepads, ect with your pictures on them that he took & he offered to come take pictures at our wedding. He did a better job than the photographer that the hotel hired! We were very pleased with him. He did give us a name, number & email and i can't seem to find it. I returned to St Thomas in May of 2005 and didnt see him around. We are returning this July and i was hoping to get a family portrait done & would really love to give him the work. I know this is a little far off but there are a few of you that seem to know everyone!! Hopefully you can help or give a name /number/ email of another great photographer~ We will be in St. John this trip though :O)

I don't know this person, but the following link might help you in your quest. On March 30 there was a guest editorial in the VI Daily News; Nayda Young wrote about the Coki Beach "family". Perhaps you could contact the VIDN and ask them to forward your question to her. Good luck in your search!

Lassima is the name of the photographer at Coki. He was great and did our family reunion photos. Unfortunately he has moved off island the last I heard.
