Hello all:
My wife and I are looking to spend January through March on St. Croix in 2009 and are looking for a place that will do a three-month rental. We don't need anything fancy--just a one-bedroom place that's clean and safe and that provides the opportunity for Web access and good cellphone coverage. We'd prefer a north shore or west end location, but are open to other areas if the place is right. Our budget is no more than $1,000/mo. We're a professional couple who run a consulting firm, own property on STX, and are looking to escape the snow and cold of the winter.
We'd like to commit to a place within the next month so we can begin making our arrangements. Anyone with a place that meets these requirements, or knowing of one, please let me know.

January through March is the very high season. Many retirees come down and housing costs are the highest of the year. You may find something for $1000 that doesn't include water or power.
At this price, I would be afraid to totally commit to a unit I had not seen. If you find a place, try and give yourself some sort of escape clause, in case you get here and hate it.
