Well, thanks for not posting. The hardest thing, imo, about living here is information void, which is why I post to forums.

So many businesses here are brain dead when it comes to getting the word out, and then wonder why they aren't getting customers. I try to promote the local businesses as much as I can, because we need businesses to enhance our quality of life.

I'll spread the word about the magazines.

Maybe not everyone has such an interest in magazines that they feel a need to post on their availability. How anyone can feel an information void in this day and age confuses me.

Old Tart, I don't know who you communicate with, but most people I communicate with don't have time to keep up because of jobs and other obligations. Many rely on tv that covers U.S. or world issues, and tv is very limited with coverage.

I can easily share a magazine, but not a web posting, because WI-FI is not free island wide. That's also the reason I still buy dvds.

As soon as I get it together, I'm going to share a very informative article from Fast Company magazine. I have a print subscription, because I bought at least one issue at Office Max, I think. The article is about trash to energy.

Having a job and other obligations never saw me in a void where information and news is concerned, even before the internet. The people I communicate with the most are well-rounded in that respect. Never used free WiFi so not sure where that fits into the equation. I read local, national and international newspapers on the internet and am learning something new all the time in diverse areas. My body may now be set on a very small rock 'twixt the Caribbean and the Atlantic but my brain travels all over the world and beyond. I don't see anything unusual in that.

I just miss browsing in a real bookstore.
Don't care much for magazines but love a real book.
My kindle is adequate but not the same experience tho there are tons of books/info onllne. It can't quite be replicated.

Sigh, what does it take to get people to realize that not every body is the same? Most people I encounter don't have time so when I see them in person I bring them up to date.

The internet doesn't cover everything which is why there are forums.

Speedy, you had the opportunity to say why you didn't post when you posted. Don't admit what you don't post.

speee1dy, I fear that if you ever make it to St Thomas your transgression in not promptly posting this vital information about the return of magazines to the territory will be duly punished by a tarring and feathering in Market Square!

MS411, really, you are upset because i forgot to say something and actually admitted i forgot? really. you have nothing better to be upset about than the fact i forgot and then admitted i forgot, really. the only reason i even remembered was because i went to kmart sunday and saw them sitting there

ot-it does sound like a tar and feather is in order.

The Caribbean distributor out of Miami stopped servicing the area for some reason.

No books, no magazines here in STT. Even K-Mart stopped having them. Not that their book selection was really great. Dockside Bookstore closed quite awhile ago in STT and I had to get a Kindle if I wished to continue my desire to read books. Very sad. Hate having to charge the blasted thing twice a day.
