Andy: The EMS is part of the Health Department (territorial government). I don't know about pay, but it is unionized. Recently they were calling for applicants and I know one of the requirements as to lift 100 lbs!! Their number on St Thomas is (340)776-7311.

This was a couple of months ago. I have a feeling that it is an open ended process. One caveat: if you send in an application with an off-island address, it will almost surely sit on a desk somewhere. It is easier to get a job if you show up in person, once you have applied and heard from them.
