My husband and I have decided to take the plunge and move ourselves and a cat and dog to the islands... Is this scary or what lol .
He is in the insurance industry and I do anything from housework to waiting tables... I'm a little worries about makeing it down there with his occupation, we will have to work once we get down there.
Any ideas....
Thanks
Lynny

Oh we will have about 20k in savings when we come down... how long will that last us????

Spend time each day reading this forum as far back as you can go. Rent and mortgages may have gone up in the last couple of years things do not change here quickly so all the info should be pretty relevant and an incredible source of information for anyone thinking about moving. It'll also give you a good idea of what questions you want to ask.

Have you been here before? Are you planning on doing a pre-move visit? Big expenses will be rental since a lot of places want first & last month's rent plus security. Which island?

What happened? Are you there yet? Are you renting. What happened with moving the cat and the dog? Did they adjust well?
