Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to familiarize myself with the people on this board, as myself and my family are making the move to St. Croix around August of next year. We already bought a house out East, near Divi Carina Bay.
Is there anyone on here close to that area? Would love to get to know some of my neighbors.

Thanks!!!

Thank you! We are hoping to make it our permanent home, and not just a short time stay, however we are being realistic and keeping our home back in Orlando, FL just in case! Is there still a lot of Sargasso Seaweed on the beaches?

Yes seaweed is still there and it will always be there, well most months. It's natural and VERY important for the ocean. Not to mention it'll just keep getting worse as our oceans get more polluted - it thrives on nutrients (ag runoff etc). We don't have it out west.

I'm sure you'll find yourself driving (over an hour) west for the beaches out here. Hope ya have AC in the new place! We played tourist and spent the day out at udall flying my drone and then at Divi and mini golf. I'd thought I'd die of heat stroke. I swear it's gotta be 10 degrees cooler out west. My AC went out in my jeep last year and never felt it really that necessary out west, I couldn't even get in it after being parked at udall. I don't know how ya east enders do it! Or afford those WAPA bills. Ouch.

Curious why east... I assume you did a PMV? Have you ever lived here before you bought your home? Just wondering.

East End is upwind of the dump, rum factories, WAPA plant, oil refinery site and airport.

What goes up in the air, comes down in your cistern.

I love West.

I live East and like my solar panels and chilly air conditioning. We have a $1,000 WAPA credit to use before the end of the year so get out the parkas.

Lost Dog, soon come. All is good.

I'm gonna get some of that AC stuff eventually.. Like AandA I haven't had AC in my truck for years now.. but I think I should get that fixed also; I might head out east sometime (I mean, other than cheeseburgers.. haha).

I have 30 solar panels but no net-metering, I wonder how much credit I'd have... haha, my batteries never drop below 100% charge when it's sunny.

(Solar is obviously a no brainer here, if we haven't made that clear)
