My apology for misspelling “Crucian”

In a recent post, I referred to myself as a future St. Croix resident with an incorrect spelling of “Crucian”. Please realize I did not mean any harm, or anything derogatory in the misspelling. It was just the poor judgment on my part. The mistake was realized after referring back to my “Settler’s Handbook”. I am sorry if anyone was offended and guilty as charged if thought of as a poor speller.

How did you spell it, Cruzan? That's how it's spelled on their bottles of rum. If you spelled it another way then you're in BIG trouble...JUST KIDDING!!! 🙂

No one was upset of you calling yourself a rum! I'm sure you will make a good Crucian.

I consider myself Cruzan...because I really (really) enjoy the rum...but I don't live anywhere near STX. 🙂

I've seen it spelled both ways....I don't think anyone took offense. This is a message board for helping each other out not for hostilities etc. If someone pointed out the correct spelling, hopefully without much de rigeur, I'm sure they were trying to help out. Again, I've seen it spelled both ways and am myself unsure of the correct spelling.

If anyone got offended by your spelling of Crucian, they are way too uptight for St Croix anyway. Not to worry. I have made the same mistake.
