Hey!

I'm planning to move to St. Thomas soon. Well my plan is to move over there if i can get a job. I been reading the topics doing research and I would to like to know if it easy to get a Job in the Hospital or how can I apply. I'm ORTech. or anything that has to do with surgery doesn't have to be specific in the hospital. Like Surgeon offices, Dentist ect. I can't find any info how to apply in the field or if they are any openings. If someone can help me I would be very thankfull.

Dayana: There are countless posts on this forum about hospital jobs so it would probably help you to do a search and see what's been asked and answered before.

You might want to contact the Roy Lester Schneider's Human Resources Department directly via 340-776-8311. As far as private surgeons or dentist's offices are concerned, the VI telephone book lists them all in the Yellow Pages. That directory is on-line, has been mentioned here on this forum many times but I don't have it to hand right now.

It's usually best to do a PMV before thinking of moving here and that's another topic which has been endlessly discussed.

Hope this helps a little.

I have to agree with STT Resident. You are pretty much going to need to beat the pavement on this one. The hospital also has a website: www.rlshospital.org for you to check. Most jobs around here are found through face-to-face contact. They want to know that you are here before they offer anything.

Thanks for the help. I have another question. I'm a young mom of two I was looking at the schools are there any schools besides the Antilles or Montersorri that are not religiousl or that expensive, because by reading the public school are not that great for kids who come from the mainland. My kids are 9 and 5 years old. I know how the islanders are because I'm from Sint Maarten, but I was raised over here. I'm what they call culi hair or something like that. So everytime I went to the island they used to treat me like I was different from the other kids. So any info again would help.

Thanks, Dayana
