I doubt it has anything to do with the intake. What makes you think that it does... is that the area of the noise? Knock or rattle? Does it seem to keep cadence with the engine rotation or just random?

The knocking noise seems to be coming right from the intake.

I'm only a back yard mechanic and don't know much about Land Rovers, But my Toyota truck had a noise coming from the manifold and it ended up being a bent valve...

New update:

The guy that teaches automotive mechanics at Central High School also has a shop across from Bellows. He came to see the car at my house and will hopefully fix it. He has worked on other LandRovers, Jags, Benz etc

Please light your white candles and say your prayers for me.

Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel :o)

I recommend the following ... make sure your insurance is paid up first.... Find a really steep hill that that has a cliff .... .. place the car in nuetral and PUSH. ...y ou will hear a loud CRASH sound .....dont' worry..... problem solved. (tu) You must be a ,very patient person.... I know I would have already thrown every wrench I had at that %$&$#@@$$%%% thing > continued GODD LUCK !!!
