Verizon?

No. Huge roaming charges is what happens to Verizon customers.

I guess I could just stick with T-Mobile...unlimited and no roaming charges, as I understand my contract.

Apparently not anymore.

"You can use your domestic talk, text and data in the selected destination(s) at no additional charge."

How well their service works may be another matter.

What difference does it make? Do the providers still hsve contracts? If so, what's the incentive to go with a contract? Imo, everybody should get at least one phone that is unlocked so you can use multiple sim cards. Not very costly.

I would keep a T mobile phone and get an AT&T or Sprint instead of landline, and pray that T Mobile and Sprint merge. Then I'd drop the other.

You can get pay as you go services from all providers, I think. Not sure why questions about cell phone access is such an issue. Am I missing something? Please enlighten me!

I don't know. We have unlimited text and data with AT&T, so I'm kinda in their corner. 😉
