Lots of posts on here, but maybe I missed it. Does anyone know how long they will hold an item for you and do they charge extra for it? I went on their site and it's pretty basic with not a lot of info, so I was hoping that someone that used them before would know.
I want to ship a few pieces of furniture down, but it may be there a few weeks before we arrive and was hoping that they hold this for a bit.

Thanks.

I got a quote from them last year, they were not clear. They will hold, did not say for how long or if or when they would charge extra for holding. I don't think you will have an issue with them able to hold it, the question will be if or how much they will charge.

I dealt with Viking on the STT end to ship personal items to FL.
Don't ship a car. Beris Lynch here on STT was very nice, very helpful, very responsive to any and all of my inquiries and questions about pricing and costs. I chose them due to the fact they came to house, packed up what I wished to take with me and cleared customs and provide door to door service. I had them come and pack the majority of items, hold it for shipping, then come back to pack and get the last items the week before I left.

The STT office number is 340-776-1536.
Rebecca is the secretary there.
Her contact is 340-714-4057 and Beris is president of company here
340-513-2793.

Don't know if that'll work for you but you can contact them to inquire.

I did call, but didn't really feel confident about the answer, so I'm going to email them, so I have it in writing. She stated, that there was no charge, but didn't give me a time frame to pick up and such and really didn't sound like she was sure. I'll let you know when they respond, in case anyone was wondering.

Thats Standard Operating Procedure here. Feeling confident about almost any business transaction is a rare thing.
However,
Coming from the NE I always used to be waiting for that "Gotcha" moment. I have to say, and maybe I've been lucky, but the vast majority of people ive delt with here have been honest, and usually things go far more smoothly than I expect.
But,
Things just take longer to get done, everything moves slower.
