Deep thoughts:

Once she could post,
now she can not.
Once was a host,
used a skillet and pot,
to make such a meal,
we all ate and drank,
til all we could feel,
was our butt as it sank,
in our comfy seat.
Now wasn't that neat?

Can we do it again?
Only if her name
they do regain,
no one to blame!

She's a poet
and don't know it
Only her feet
show it
They're longfellows

It's about someone I met from the forum....no not you Ronnie since I had met you a long time ago.

It is someone so vilified and treated as a tormented soul that they got banned. Alas, that person is warm, sweet, caring and loving and as warm as the breath that God breaths into our soul.

I know of whom you speak and, it is true, her live personality comes through in a way internet does not do justice. If you are feeling withdrawals hang out in the vaca forum...maybe s/he will make a visit.

I'm considering elevating this unnamed person to goddess status, but not completely sure how to do this on the forum. Does someone know how to do this?

Yes, you just call her The Queen Mum Goddess Ma'am...and be sure to give the Royal Salute and do a deep bow when you talk to Her Highness Queenie Ma'am. After all, it's only proper manners.

PG -

I was wondering - I'm not very politically inclined - but is banishment for life? If you get kicked out of the shrine, can you ever be "clean" again? And the shrine is.....where again? I stay so confused...

Where's Simkiss? - he knows about these religious matters....where I come from, if the saints band together, the Big Guy/Gal listens....'course, I guess we have a problem - ain't no saints around here. Hmmmm. Dang.

Isn't she tho'. I just hate to say her name tho' since some might take not so kindly to her. I wish that there was a way one could have a coronation party with some like minded people to honor this most godess of godess sorts while I am still here.

And here it is, 9.00 in the evening and as I look out over Pillbury Sound I can hear the faint murmurs of our Queen Mum......God Save the Queen.

STT Resident,
I will say her name. The most informative without motive person on the islands. I will never forget the wonderful message she sent me when I announced that we finally were able to adopt our son. I cannot imagine why she is banished from the board. No matter if anyone liked her postings or not even when she was cranky and told everyone off. She is very real. No motive no anything. You get what you see. Thank you dear lady for being who you are. I appreciate you more than you can ever know. To share your pain with a person you have never met about your own son was unbelievable. Thank you mam. I love you from afar. You are the wind beneath our wings.

Tammy -

BRAVO!

Very nice. Thanks for your input regarding the whole situation.

We should probably ALL occasionally remind ourselves that personalities don't translate well on the blue screen...what comes off as harsh or judgemental may not really be - and things that come off as trivial and silly are just someone's way of lightening the mood. A PM may determine the intent - and as noted here many times in the past, if you don't like a poster's position, don't read it. Some people will naturally rub others the wrong way - so skip it. Seems simple enough.

EVERYONE has something to contribute - everyone. Perhaps if all members and moderators could take a step back and take a deep breath and remember there are people behind these posts and not just robots with no feelings we could all do better. After all, we all have our individual experiences and pieces of knowledge that can possibly be helpful to someone else. I'm sure Islander and whoever is spinning the hamster wheel can agree that there aren't many members of this board who have been residents of the islands for a very, very long time who post other than a select few, including Ronnie, and the aforementioned Queen Mum - sometimes you give latitude to those with seniority, and rightfully so. They know more and have seen more than most. To ban someone because of their presentation of what they know to be fact is not really in the spirit of unity one would desire for the islands or this board, no?

Tammy, well said........but.....

I'm willing to give HRH a coronation as goddess, queen mum (proper English spoken). I am willing to bow down to her royal goodness. I will be seeing her again and will no doubt genuflex. But that's just me in the presence of all that is good.

BUT.....the wind beneath our wings????? Come on!!!!!

Promo,

Just go have another drink and get your thong out of your hiney. She was the wind beneath my wings at a time that was needed. Jeeze Louise.
