Please forgive my flurry of halfway-through-packing questions. I appreciate the help.
Is there a place on STX where one can buy scrubs? I intend to pack my own, of course, but I'm prioritizing the things that I place in my carryon versus checked bags, and if I knew that I could buy new scrubs if I had to, if my checked bags were lost or destroyed, then I'd feel better about packing my scrubs in my checked bags. (I'm starting work 4 days after I arrive, so there's no time for shipping scrubs from elsewhere.)
This will be good to know, anyway, for the day when my current scrubs finally wear out!
(Yes, I'm a little paranoid about checking bags. I haven't checked a bag in years because I'm afraid of losing stuff! I've learned to pack light, but it's a different story when you're moving!)

i think there is a place not too far from royal furniture in peters rest and i think there is a place right by the police station in triangle basin
