A builder told me it was 600 bucks per cubic yard.

I have absolutely no idea what that means but maybe someone does.

Actually the current builder rate on STX is about $175 a cubic yard. We're currently putting a floor in an aircraft hangar and got a cut rate deal of $158 per yard since we need at least 50 truckloads and we're just a couple miles from the concrete plant. That's still more than double what I ever paid in Washington State, but the price of concrete has gone up everywhere.

I am very sorry for the misinformation.

As you may be able to tell, I am new to the construction hobby - as I am remodeling down there. The comment that I posted above must have been a misunderstanding on my part.

Maybe that is for a cubic yard of gold or silver. LOL.

Sorry, but Im also glad to hear its not as bad as I thought.

I heard last night that a new concrete company is opening on STX and should be ready to start deliveries in 3-4 weeks. Price mentioned was $140 a yard. We'll see how that goes.
