Buying a unit at Sapphire in the St Kitts building which is way on top away from the beach for the first few months I wont have a car will a taxi take me down to Sapphire beach or wont they bother with such a short fare? Can someone inbox me a good local driver who maybe I could work out a deal with who I would use for a few months

I doubt they will bother.
You should consider leasing a car thru a car rental agency or be sure to pack your hiking shoes.

looking at Google Maps, if I am looking at the right buildings, looks like it's about 1/4 of a mile which isn't too bad.

There was a taxi stationed near the beach entrance the last time I was there. It looked like that was his station for the day. Check with him/them and see if they wouldn't mind picking you up and returning you. They could drop you off when they have other groups. Minimum $4 each way, I think.
