does anyone know how hard it it to get accepted if you're from the states? I heard that places like Hawaii accept people from the mainland because it's hard to get them to leave home. I don't know if thats true, but if it is, I was wondering if its the same for the virgin islands.

72% of applicants admitted. [cite: http://www.stateuniversity.com/universities/VI/University_of_the_Virgin_Islands.html ]

I doubt the university would ever have a STATED policy of accepting a lot of mainlanders, but it would be beneficial to them because mainlanders pay higher tuition costs, so more profit.

For the $25 application fee, worth finding out.
