Hello all,
I'm looking for a reliable, trustworthy mechanic to do a thorough inspection on my 2002 Toyota Rav4. Being dependable and competent is more important than price- who's the best?

(Used search, only one result appeared).

We have always been very pleased with Jeff and Terry's. They are on Northside (75) near McDonalds and that party rental store. Big chain link fence and always a bunch of car in there. We had a Rav 4 and now a Tacoma. Great on both. Very honest and usually pretty quick to get an appointment.

If you do go with them, tell them Gary, with the red Tacomo, sent you. That won't get either of us a darn thing, but it's nice to let them know we appreciate them.

The phone number is 718-3325

I use Leonard's Auto for my Toyota Tacoma pick up on STT.
I've been using him for years/decades and never disappointed.
If you want contact number and directions, if you're on STT, pm me.

I really love Aaron at tutu. I've tried several mechanics and he is the only one that gives me the straight answer and doesn't charge a ton. He even gives me the discount at western auto for all my parts so I go over there and pick them up. Way cheaper than buying them online that way. 90% of the time he fits me right in as long as it's a quick fix. He also has inspected several cars for me recently for FREE although I do bring him tasty craft bees and lunch on occasion. 🙂

He is in the tire kindgdom lot - I don't recommend the other guys that own that lot at all but Aaron is great - affordable and I totally trust him!

I tried Leonard's too Alana and they charged me $100 for two very quick inspections on cars I was looking to buy. Seemed steep.

A&A: You are really becoming local...Western Auto is now Advanced Auto, although I bet everyone is going to call it Western Auto until the apocalypse. I think they still call the spot where Fat Man's was Fat Man's,even though it has been gone since before Schneider was gov....But I lived in Dallas and still call Dillard's Titche's...

Wish they would quit changing the names on us!
No one ever remembers the new ones.
Skyline drive will always be Skyline, etc.
Confusing when newbies use new names.

Valdimar Hill Scenic Route?
About a dozen on or more years ago!
See what I mean? Doesn't Skyline Drive sound much better?

True dat. BUT when I was in there the other day, all the signage around the mechanic's area says "Western Auto". I'm going back in there tomorrow for a front end alignment (thank you Island Roads!) and may even ask why that's so.

Ants and scorpions. And the occasional iguana. It's my fat fingers that are to blame. Again!
