Hello I am a newbie to posting but having been reading off and on for about a year now!
My husband and I are looking into moving to St Thomas sometime after December.
My first of many questions is Where is the Ritz Carlton on the island, good part of town? would there be a place we could rent close to there that would not be $2000 a month??? I think I have a great job offer there and need to get up to speed on where the Ritz is etc before taking the job. Have been down before, just not to that hotel yet:)

The Ritz is in a nice area on the east end. Rents vary but you might be able to get something less than $2K a month. Will you have a car? Lots of homes have apartments on their lower levels.

Yes I will have a car if I get the job! I think that it is a must for my husband and I, we like to drive around and explore too much, plus the convience or maybe the inconvinence!

Since you have a car Red Hook is close & the Ritz is in the Nazareth area, if that helps you narrow the areas down. Naturally you could live further afield since you'd likely be going against rush hour traffic most of the time. And check the classified section on this board closer to your arrival.
