Yes, a Roku 3, works well and satisfies all my TV requirements. I have the $49 BBVI service. More content than Apple TV.

I've got the Roku 3, I subscribe to Hulu Plus, Netflix and Amazon as well as about 60 Youtube Channels, it satisfies the tv need. You can replace satellite with this.

Are you getting HD, non-buffering with the BBVI 2.0 package?

Go to ustvnow.com, sign up for the free plan, then go to ustvnow.com/ roku and get a code. It 's relatively simple, there is al$o a DVD option. I have netflix and ustvnow plus a bunch of free channels , PBS live from PA. I can get ustvnow on my iPhone to .

You do not need a Roku for USTVNOW.com it will work just fine on your computer.

In fact, I think that the free plan will ONLY play on a computer. It takes a pay plan for the Roku. They changed it a while back. The free plan includes the networks.

on roku the picture comes in just like it would come in from a dish box or cable box. there isn't switching, its just tv delivered through the internet without buffering, etc.

longhorn, right now we do not have roku ( so tv now would have to be used via the computer and switch box like we do for netflxi ) but after reading, i was under the impression tvnow is NOT for us because we are the us? so confusion there

I have a free account on USTVNOW. I signed up using my USVI address about 3 years ago.

They have gone through a few changes over the years. A free account only includes Low resolution video. Better than nothing.
Try it out. It is free.

I didn't miss a second of the soccer game when Dish lost signal a little while ago.
I was running it on my desktop through USTVNOW at the same time ( I have two monitors hooked up on the PC).

Is there any way to watch any NFL game that you want live on your TV other than Direct TV's NFL package?
