There seems to be a major influx of sand flies; anyone have a remedy to keep them away?

Avon's skin so soft bath oil. Recently, everytime i go anywhere near the beach in the afternoon I bring a bottle along. It's the only thing that I've found to work against the nasty critters.

Try to avoid the beach on cloudy days, that's when those little satanic shitwads come out.

And be careful around flame with Skin So Soft on - it's flammable!

Question for all?
Are you sure these are true sand flies? If so beware sand flies are a vector for Leishmaniasis. Instead of trying to explain it I'll post this.
