Finally! I have been lurking for a year now and am finally making the move from the Los Angeles area to STX. Does anyoe have any advice on movers and shippers? Can you ship a car in a container?? I am tentatively planning to leave the So Cal area by 5/15/05 (I have to beat the animnal embargo) I appreciate any help from those who have made the move.

good luck on your journey from CA. i'm coming from texas in 3 days-can't wait and hope i run into you when you get there.
i have read all the posts in the last 4-5 months (currently 198 pages i think) i seemed to miss any mention of an animal embargo. manny, could you or someone else expound?

During the summer months the airlines don't take any animals. Too hot! You can however, ship thru a air cargo company like Four Star from Miami if you need to do it in the summer.
