Shipping Costs to STT...

Okay, on to the next topic I need information about (and thank everyone again for being so patient and answering all of my questions)!

In our budgeting, I need an ESTIMATE, if anyone knows, how much it would cost us to ship:

Ford E-150 Van
Chevrolet Cobalt
Construction tools: (They would fit in the van if need be)
VERY LITTLE household stuff as we will sell most everything we have before we moved, and what little left, we could ship via USPS.

We could drive the vehicles and belongings to whatever port in Florida we'd need to, that's not a big deal...

Am I looking at $5000? $10,000? Just a ball park would do if anyone could offer any $ figures.

I'm not talking about getting everything registered once there, just the shipping cost.

Thanks!

Crowley ship out of Port Everglades near Ft. Lauderdale in Florida. They won't let you ship anything inside the vehicles. They could give you the number of the people who ship small consignments with them - I didn't keep it because I thought they were too expensive, and to fly stuff "excess baggage" was better in my case.
The booking dept # 1-800-637-8312
customer service# 1-800-637-8311
or you could try www.crowley.com (I didn't)
When you call for a quote you will need the weight and measurements of the vehicles.
I think Tropical still ship out of West Palm Beach, and they used to be slightly cheaper, but I don't know any more than that because I never used them.

I called Crowley a couple of weeks ago and a Jeep Liberty from Port Everglades was going to run $1200 I would think either of the vehicles will be close to that. As Sabrina said the vehicles have to be empty. For the other stuff you will need a consolidator like Econo-Caribe that does less than container loads. We are shipping a lot of little stuff via US Mail. I decided to ship my expensive tools, saws, drills etc and replace some of the smaller stuff once on island.
