Ozzie and Harriet ( Rickey & David Nelson)

David celebrated his 73 birthday this week. Way too much nostalgia.

Yes Lloyd Bridges has passed on, I know his family well, son Beau and daughter Cindy, Jeff not as much.. Beau was born the same year as me, he will be 68 on December 7th (pearl harbor ). Bear Valley connection.

And in Our Miss Brooks, Richard Crenna was the teen. Later he stared with Walter Brennan in The Real McCoys.
Gale Storm also later had her own show, The Gail Storm Show, where she played the social director on a cruise ship. A fore runner of the Love Boat.

Remember Topper, with Leo G. Carroll. I know the dogs name. do you? No fair looking on the internet:D

Another thing to remember, all these shows were in black & white and we had to get up to change the channel--but there were only 3 at that time I think.

It was John Beresford Tipton. You could have color TV if you had that colored striped piece of heavy plastic to plaster on the screen. 😀

Another fave of mine was Palladin.

I think the main sponsor of Friday night fights was Gillete. The Gillete Cavalcade of Sports was once the longest running sports show on TV. "To look sharp and ......"

Lassie and Rin Tin Tin offspring can be traced via AKC
Howdy Doody is at The Paul McPharlin Puppetry Collection, in the Detroit Institute of Arts
The Guy Cartoon with the Funnel Hat was Tom Terrific and his Dog Mighty Manfred
Yogi and bobo are on inactive reserve for TV Commercials
