From bits and pieces I hear that the refinery in PR has blown up. About 8 tanks so far. They are trying to contain it, I saw reports here of smoke on the north side. I don't smell here on the south side. People have been tld to stay home. That's all that's on the PR TV stations this AM.

Oh okay. The smell may make it of the wind is coming from the west.

This news report says the fire was caused by a crash of a Spirit airline plane.

Well the explosion was at 12:30 this AM. By now they would know if it were a plane cash. It is a gasoline distribution center owned by Gulf. Not a refinery.

Just heard a news report that Homeland Security & FBI are on scene because a sign that said "Boom" was found. They say it's possibly a disgrunted employee.

Wow, the pictures on CNN are amazing. Glad to hear that there have not been any injuries or fatalities so far. Do the firefighters just try to protect the surrounding areas while the fuel burns itself out?

I looked at the earthquakes close by PR for yesterday - there were 2 of the 4.0 strength recorded - 7:01 pm and 11:17 pm

And the explosion happened around 12:30 I hear? Could be a connection. In my Polly Anna view of the world I prefer to think that rather than the BOOM theory of intentional destruction.

Remember the old Dharma and Greg show? When Dharma said it was a "Doggie Dog World" Greg corrected her and said "Dog Eat Dog". She just shook her head and said she couldn't live with that. I am with Dharma!

the message in question read "BOOM, Fire, RIP, Gulf" in grafitti on an overpass near the explosion
