Where will (do) you live? We don't want to send you to the Red Hook Mail Service if you live in Fortuna.

There isn't a post office in Red Hook. There is a private mail service. Even when they don't have boxes available, they have (in the past) provided service.

The private mail services, to my best knowledge, observe all the usual holidays, and regular hours, of the post office.

Aren't there boxes right at the end of the road by the dumpsters? I think the Peterborg area may have sevral of these boxes that the USPS delivers to in that area...I might be worng, but it's worth looking into...check with the landlord or the previous owner...

Tutu and Havensight don't have any boxes available. Sometimes the Sugar Bay and Frenchtown post offices have boxes. If you are looking for a mail service like they have in Red Hook, there is one at Crown Bay marina.

Yes, I meant Sugar Estate. I was thinking about visiting a friend who works at Wyndham Sugar Bay when I was typing. Obviously I'm not the sort who should try to walk and chew gum at the same time! 😀

I use Backstreet Mailboxes in town (Charlotte Amalie). Works great for me!

What are they charging now, Islandlola? Red Hook Mail SVC. is now charging $20.00/month.

I think it was like $120 for the year? I'm a little fuzzy (I was so ecstatic to get a centrally located box, in a place with parking in town, that would also receive and hold onto my big packages when I'm off island that I was focusing on that stuff...)

Found a new place in Red Hook...Mail Hub. Phone 779-1163. It is a bit pricey ($25/mo with 10% discount for 6 month signup). The great part is that they are a physical address, not just a post office box, so you can have anything delivered. They are very friendly, customer focused, have internet service and UPS. We signed up for 6 months and we'll see how it goes. Right next to Marina Market.
