umm well it's called ethnic cleansing for a reason i suppose,i can't imagine myself saying that only white gay danish/irish people were allowed to live here, lol can you imagine, lol we'd all stern/drunk decorators and what kind of culture would that present to the outside world.oh well enough of that rant, i met MartySTT today, he came in to paradise to meet me, i want to be his roommate over on STT come sept 1st after i'm done staying with the other herve waiter while he's house sitting on crown mountain, lol he's house sitting for someone and i'll be housesitting for him.i honestly can't wait this time to get to STT and get on with it,i was biased when i was there last time and hated the place on principle simply because "i a crucian" and thats what we're supposed to do,now i know the hassles associated with living there but i also recognize the benefits.

lol thanks Yearasta, you're the 4th person in 2 months to say that, but honestly i think i'd come across as a really irritated gay version of george carlin or denis miller i dunno is that a bad thing/ i see the avis of all papers came out today and said who the hell cares and why are we wasting time on gay marriage when the usa is falling apart, i guess i agree,as a gay man i could care less, the other half wanted all that crap years ago and i told him absolutly not,why in the hell do we want to emulate str8 people, yes i want the same rights and as a tax payer we deserve them, but to get sentimental and call it "marriage" no thanks, and the ceremony no way, he and i went to the mpls city council and filed domestic partner papers up there and went to lawyer and did financial, legal and medical power of attorney over each other years ago and as far as i'm concerned thats all the ceremony we'll ever need, i went to quigley here 3 years ago and gave him half the house, lol thats it i'm done,we're married as far as i'm concerned

well Yearasta have you read any of the last 40 or so pages here on this thread, alot of my humour, anger and bitterness has been written already, and yes i guess i'd like to see it compiled in some sort and then expanded on,i've tried to do some of that here but a couple of people here have told me i'm getting too personal and i guess i've never cared about that, pretty much any comedian or humorist will tell you that comedy and laughter derive from pain and so i guess in some odd way i'm expressing pain through humour,or maybe cynicsm

Getting too personal would be up to you to decide, not anyone else.

Hello all,

I never read threads and I never post messages on message boards! But......my husband read a couple of posts on this board awhile back and we have been glued to it ever since! lol We are planning a move to USVI soon, and were looking for any and all "real" information.

TRW - Your thread was a great idea, and we appreciate reading about actual day-to-day life on STX. Your stories are so interesting and funny - you should compile them in a book! My husband is retired from law enforcement and I am retired too. We were tourists on STT and BVI a couple of times and it has always beckoned us back. This time we want to make it permanent. We always hear how it is just "paradise", but would be interested in knowing some "down side" to the islands, if any. Any comments?

Alexandra - We have owned a sail boat and a trawler, but sold both of them recently. Do you live aboard the Parrothead? (Did I get the name correct?) We have been wanting to look into getting another boat. It's habit forming!

Tam - Your stories about JJ and his crabs are cute!

Trw, I keep getting one that says it will tell me where the lesbian women are in the VI. That's something I don't care about one way or the other but maybe some of them are those same cheating wives?

LOL well i've just read a bit of ignorance and sheer stupidity in todays source, you need to read kendal petersons comments in the fish market story, apparently watching gays and lesbians on cable turns children into gang members and fag@ots,more of the ignorant breeding ignorance

Come on trw haven't you seen the pink gangsta bandanas...at least now I know where to get my hos and crack! The bad thing is someone that would make derogatory comments like that is running for the senate.

well if watching cable as a child "makes" you gay i have to wonder what happened to me, after all when i was a child in the 60's and early 70's there was no cable,i know, it was watching the brady bunch and the partridge family, yup thats what did it.

and i see the avis has chosen to completly ignore peterson's anti-gay rant and to focus on his positive comments about how he's going to fight for the rights of ALL people and their right to assemble at the fish market, one has to wonder if that means the avis is endorsing him for senate

What is your reading comprehension level, trw? He said that TV watching turns children into gays OR gang members, referring to both the violence on TV and the increasing visibility of gays on TV. He never said that gays on TV had any role in turning children into gangsters.

Arguing that television was corrupting the youth, not people at the fish market, Petersen veered into a bigoted tirade.
"You wouldn't let an anti-man in your house," he said. "You wouldn't let a dyke in your living room. But cable television puts anti-man and dykes right in your living room. That is where our youth learn about gang violence and learn to be faggots."

Regardless of what he meant, those inflammatory comments have no place coming out of the mouth of a person with the intentions of running for office.
