Does anyone have any info about what happened last night at Cane Bay beach? There were many police vehicles as well as about 3 ambulances down across from Full Moon Beach Bar when we passed around 7pm?

hey i just read that our bridge to nowhere is going to be open on friday,it looks like a nice bridge and i'd love to see an audit done for that project,it took almost 2 years to do,and while i applaud delta harris on behalf of the refurbished ball park up here in Lavallee i think it was probally a waste of money, there just are'nt that many young people left up here and i can only remember one baseball game played over there in recent memory and i think that was like 2 years ago.We get more than enough traffic up here because of cane bay, parking is a mess, look at canagata(sp) ballpark on game nights, they'll spend the money for bread and circus's but not on something important like getting the busses to run up here 2-4 times a day,or clearing all of the junked cars out of the village. LOL you can really tell usie and serville's mother are running for reelection

here's an odd question,i have never gardened in a tropical climate before so i'm wondering how long plants live, for example my bell pepper plants in minnesota, they died out with the first hard frost,so how long will they live and bare peppers?

well no cane bay bodies in the paper, but the orange grove developement looks real nice,i hope for once that this a project that starts strong from the get go and continues strong to the finish and i like the fact that they are not hingeing(sp) the whole developement on a casino, now if we could get a nice apartment complex instead of another condo complex, and why can't government offices be moved out west into the old cost u less bldg and the old sunshine grocery store, buy and renovate instead of rent and leases.

well i walked down to off the wall for lunch, ordered a reuben with slaw and when diana set it down in front of me i realized i was'nt hungry at all so she gave me a box,so i sat and listened to her and some guy trading horror stories about the gallows bay post office, lol funny stuff, the chief of police for STX and a bigwig from wapa were there yesterday for lunch and they had a crew working on the lot across from the bar for the mobile substation and she has a meeting in f'sted either thursday or friday to discuss plans for turning the old school up here into a cop shop, she's closing the bar from sept 29th to oct 10th to put a new floor in the kitchen, and when ric and kate sold the bar and left island they left behind 1000's of dollars in unpaid bills and wages, god that man was such a pig,he'd sit at the bar and swill down the jack daniels like water and kate was dying every other week and so it goes

Bombi the things are HUGE and i just ate it and even cold it was great 10 bucks with a side,it's almost impossible to screw up a reuben so it's the size that counts and i felt i got my monies worth.

left island they left behind 1000's of dollars in unpaid bills and wages

Happens all the time down here. Wonder how many people got ripped off at the Nisky Gym that went under twice. Where IS Dylan who kept promoting it here?

Trade i tend to see red flags whenever someone from the states comes down here and opens a business and does not BUY a house or condo, that kinda shows me they have no vested interest in the community and are only here until the times get tough and then poof they're gone in the middle of the night, ric and kate rented a place in judiths fancy for years and went back and forth from here to florida all the time,in other words they did'nt live here, diana and her husband have lived here for more than 10 years and are a part of the community, this is their home and that is how they refer to STX,and while they do not own a home at this point they have house sat for the same people for quite a few years now,i don't know, they're both good people from wisconsin.

I was at Duggan's Reef on Sunday with the family. We sat right under a fan but my wife and son got welts all over their body from mosquito bites. They didn't touch me. My theory is that the mosquitos had enough Crucian and American cuisine and decided to go for Chinese. (my wife and son are Asian)

Trw, I thought Diana was just the manager of Off The Wall. I remember in 2006 some attorney from Fla bought it and Phil had talked about possibly helping manage it in the future. I know that Phil died but didn't know that Diana owned the bar and surprised that her husband works there too. Thought he was a scuba instructor?

LOL i heard today one of our protesters got himself arrested about 7 years ago for stealing a boxed VCR from k-mart west and then the idiot goes up to the main road and hops in one of the taxi vans and so when he got to f'sted and got out the cops immediately picked him up.

senator wesselhoff will be meeting thursday at 9:30 am in f'sted to discuss turning the lavallee school into a police substation, the gov's assistant told me that it would require 16 new hires to staff that one and cotton valley, and they are trying to figure out which is more important for us to have up here emt's or firemen,we can't have both,i told them i thought emt's would be more important simply because of cane bay,we generally get one drowning death a year up here and i can't ever remember a fire,so i voted for cops and emt's

i start working for the 2 brothers downtown on friday night, i've gotten to know them both at the cafe and i used to work with the main bartender out east and so i'm really looking forward to this job, finally 2 full times jobs at the same time that i actually really like. i was extolling the virtues to a couple that owns a couple condos over in f'sted and one of the lawyers overheard me and said"F'sted is'nt that somewhere by vieques" so i told him to be nice

if anyone here knows the mccormick family they need to be told that the building they own downtown kitty-korner from government house is starting to look downright shoddy, the roof is peeling all over the place and it's turning into an eyesore, really you'd think being that close to government house you'd want your building to look as good or better.
