the thing i like best about my job is that 90percent of the customers are regulars and they've been eating there for years and years and they all pretty much know each other and so if i think some new people are interesting i'll generally pass around introductions because thats the kind of place it is,oh and cruzkandy, husband and child came in for b'fast today tammy, and trade i pretty much agree with you about the ship thing, and from what i hear the CRRA is a mess but at least this jump up they kept out non CRRA member restaurants it's not STXRRA

Betty harps on living here for a year before you buy, dont buy right away. 🙂 Please please please do not buy right away. Pmv often seems like its turned into a vacation. I recommend it to people with kids because its alot harder to make it work here and afford it if you have kids.

the bad drunken singing went on until 2:30 this morning and it was truly awful,it's really quiet up here at night and sound carries and then about 3am i heard a couple of gun shots so maybe they shot the winner who knows. He stumbled home about 2:30 so drunk he could hardly walk, ate and passed out..got up this am and went to the kitchen and one of the cats had brought us a rat,how thoughtfull,LOL.yesterday when i was leaving the apt in town to go to work i went to turn the knob on the deadbolt and it stripped itself so the deadbolt would not unengage itself and i could not get out so i had to climb out the porch window and walk a one inch ledge 20 feet over the street to get to the steps so i could jump down,so there i am at 6:45 am walking a ledge with a backpack on my back trying not to look like a robber, hahahahaha, and so i call my landlady and she's going to try to get a hold of the locksmith to fix the damn thing but i'm probally going to have to walk the ledge tonight when i go back and again in the am when i go to work,it just never ends

I went to the opening ceremonies of Ag Fair yesterday. All the digintaries there. They said they were happy that a ship would come in on one of the days of the Ag Fair. I wonder how many people will get off the ship and go there.....It has been a cloudy day all day here in Hermon Hill. slow rains now and then. I wanted to go diving at Cane Bay so jst a day indoors if it keeps this way.

We went to Ag fair for a couple of hours on Saturday and came home with some plants and 4 baby chicks. I told JJ that they were not pets only for laying eggs. I don't what I was thinking. They think JJ is their new mommy. So when they get too old and stop laying we can't eat them. Sigh.

I really enjoyed that book, and I'm into historical stuff.
Is the sequel as good as the original ??

Tami,

Keep the chicks warm--light bulb--and in a place where mongoose or rats cannot get to them.........

STXResident, Is is necessary to have a light bulb in this climate? Hubby is building a coop for them with chicken wire so animals cannot get to them. The coop is in a large kennel area that is 6 foot tall that was for our rotties. Our remaining rottie is in the house now. When they get larger they can roam inside the kennel area in the daytime. The chicken coop itself is about 4ft by 6ft and two feet off the ground. It has a roof that slants down on the sides for shade. Do you think this is sufficient? I have never raised chickens. My grandmother had some but they lived in the barn.

Tam....I'm not sure about this climate, but back home on the farm even in the summer dad kept a warming light on the baby chicks, I think til they got real feathers. Also watch em close if they are the lil fuzzies, they can squeeze thru the wire on the fence. 😮
Rats, Mongoose , the big white heron birds & hawks will make snacks of them!!! Good Luck!!
(I bet JJ is too cute as the mommy chick).

Snuba is similar to scuba except the you are breathing from a compressor or tanks located in the boat above with a hose running down to your mask. Think hard hat divers combined with scuba. Shallow dives.

Haven't seen Almost Famous but daughter #3 is a ballerina and Elton Johns tiny dancer is how I always think of her. Being a professional ballerina is a cruel world. Think 5 foot 5 inches tall and 95 pounds and you are too fat so your employer aka director gives you diet pills. Think about that when you enjoy a wonderful ballet performance. These girls live off of ice cubes and diet pills, mainly cocaine. My daughter has danced all over the world. Her last employment was with the Dance Theater of Harlem. Her employer gave her diet pills. She told him with much encouragement from me to F off. Well we just don't do that in the dance world because there are thousands of talented anorexic young ladies to take your place if you say no.
