hmmm well maybe we can sweet talk tammy into hosting a get together at her house,a potluck thing,we've talked about this before and you can all meet doug and jj,lol doug is like this massive wall of flesh and jj is a skinny little redhead with crabs. I'd like to see "a day in the life"thing from the other posters on this thread, working only the one job now i only get to talk with 50-60 people a day as opposed to the usual 150 or so

I love the JJ stories, maybe it's because I have a little boy myself, but I get a kick out of them. I don't see anything wrong with Tam posting the JJ stories in the thread, it's called "stx today". Everyday is "stx today" for JJ, to the grown people that post here and just read and do not post. Tam posting could be beneficial to any person that decides to move the Stx and have a little kid. I know personally Tam has help me out with some activities for kids JJ's age, to do, when I had a friends visiting from the states; heck and I'm born and raised here. Tam don't let some spoil what you are doing so far, forget them and the awful things that they say..... maybe they might not feel as uptight if they had a fun fill day with a little JJ themselves.

I also miss the JJ stories as well as the way they are sometimes told through a mother's eyes. Makes me feel less 'alone' at times. Pity on those out there who don't know how to skip on by...maybe they never learned how to 'skip' as a child as I so picture JJ and all other loved and lucky kids out there.
Give JJ and all others who want one a HUUUGE!! hug from me and my "kid", who at 12yrs. old is still wide-eyed and sweet...even tho' trying to grow up too fast!
JJ is and always has been a breath of fresh, pure air! God love him! 🙂

trw, Interesting description of Doug and JJ. Thank you for not describing me as a FH. lol. A party at my house sounds great but it will have to wait until mid May. Too much construction going on right now. Can't walk through my house without tripping over tools, toys or animals. Speaking of animals there was a hamster in my bed last night. Yuk. At least it wasn't a hermit crab.

I discovered the K Mart appliance store yesterday. Nobody told me that there were tools in there. Craftsman. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

I think there are some others, as well as I, who always s.o.b. the JJ stories.

Usually the different topics in this post are interesting and need addressing and I want to thank Tam for leaving JJ stories to PM's or where ever.

Why not start a JJ topic? Then who ever wants to read them can have a place to go and those others of us can s.o.b. the whole topic.

And for the record, I was (and I'm) a great 'skipper'!!

uttica,

this thread is "stx today,comments"... and methinks that jj belongs here. in fact, i am on stt, and i post in this thread, but mostly i read and am highly amused and often educated.

regardless of what anyone on this board thinks, dougtamjj deserves to post her posts as long as they are not offensive or inciting untoward activities. the jj posts are certainly far from that. only dougtamjj can decide whether to post, and i hope that she does and to all who would blast her privately for sharing her life, ask yourself if you are in a position to judge what is important.

from the recent conversation, we see that her stories touched some in a positive way. everyone's story here is worthy of respect. yours too, uttica!

And the Kmart-Sears will order any appliance that Sears sells. They don't honor sale prices you can find online, but they do offer their own discounts. I found my fridge on sale, online, for about $1595. They ordered it for me, and it was $1767, including shipping and everything. They don't deliver, but they put you in touch with someone who does, if you need.

When I was looking for a stove, I went to K-mart. They have a great selection, but as Juanita said, they don't deliver to your home. They also can charge for changing it to propane.

In the end, I went to one of the local furniture stores and bought one, free delivery and free change to propane. I think I saved a little cash.

You just gotta watch out for those guys also. I bought a piece of furniture from one of the stores. Went home, did a final measurement of my space, and realized that the furniture would not fit. Tried to cancel my order, and had to jump through hoops with my credit card company to get the money back because they (the local store) refused to accept the return. Even though I had never received the furniture. It was supposed to be delivered a few days later.

I know I should have been sure before I bought, lesson learned. I just don't want to see it happen to anybody else.

TRW insulted my wife, using her name, on this board. We responded, she and I , as a PM so as not to bring a theological discussion here. I felt his insult was a private matter. Despite what TRW would like to believe, he has taken Leviticus 18 (which, by the way, was not the verse she was using in her article in the Avis, out of context and forgets to look at Romans and 1st Corinthians, which also deal with sexual immorality. Since TRW insists on continuing to trash me and my wife on this board, and some of you are being led astray perhaps, below is the PM. in public, which Cindy wrote to TRW:

trw
good infromative article about the estates of stx in the current stx trader,oh and you can add cindy morse to the list of STX homophobes

antiqueone (this is the PM)
Troy~ calling me a homophobe is like calling someone who recognizes that drinking alcohol to excess and says it can lead to alcoholism is an "alcoholicphobe" All of us have temptations, whether it be excessive drink, cigarettes, greed or sexual immorality. The task is not to embrace the sinful behavior, but to turn away from it, no matter how strong the pull nor what the current society thinks is "right" God is the only one who can help counter these urges and He is ready to help the moment we ask Him.
Do I hate you? Nope. Do I wish the best for you? Yup. Do I think that the homosexual lifestyle you espouse is healthy and normal? No, I do trust in the Bible's Truth and I would like you, too, to have the liberating joy that I have in knowing Jesus Christ, who created us both. God Bless,
Cindy Morse

In reply to [www.vimovingcenter.com]

TRW (responds to her PM)

well since you and your ilk insist on denying me my rights as a gayman, the same rights you as a straight person enjoy, you can pay my taxes for me

Obviously, TRW is an angry man and has been hurt alot in his past, but it still does not give him the right to insult people or pour his vitriol on anyone just because they are Christian and have a worldview different from his.
Enough said

So did anyone hear about the bright lights and big booms seen, heard and felt from Delaware to North Carolina. My kids in Virginia Beach all called me and saying that the military and police are investigating but there is no signs of a meteor or any kind of space debris. Very interesting. I doubt we will ever know what it was. My bet is it was something to do with the military. Some people in Virginia Beach and surrounding cities felt their houses shake so hard they thought it was an earthquake. If you want to read the story and local reactions go to the Virginian Pilot on line.

Antiquone and Cindy sounds like you are homophobes. Why in the world would you feel a need to pick on someone's lifestyle. Even if you feel in your heart of hearts its wrong there ARE SO MANY OTHER IMPORTANT issues the islands needs to deal with. Worrying about how someone ELSE lives their life would be way way down on the list. Involve yourself in something useful, you've got to much time on your hands.

I saw something on line yesterday about the strange lights & booms.
Funny lots of folks saw the same thing, but police & radar deny anything strange in the sky.........*-)

I have heard everything from a piece of a Russian falling to enemy aircraft attacking Oceania. The military and police are not talking. One thing is for sure if an object was hurdling towards one of the biggest US military bases in the world the military would have known it and taken care of the problem.

Hubby and a guy he hired are repairing the roof. They seem to have a language barrier. I can understand both of them. They are making me crazy.
