TRW, don't let the fanatics vex you. They can twist the scripture anyway it suits them.

Trade,
I managed to get her certified without going back to school. She was tested by the K9 unit at the county Jail. So she's mine for good. I guess it's kind of like a GED, but it worked for us. I can't hear that good and loud noises scare her, ( what a team). But we both enjoy one another.

Glad she worked out, Lizard. Isn't her name Annie? Give her a Milkbone for me. LOL at the Unpleasant Character quote Rotorhead posted.

Lizard when you get settled in maybe we can meet and spend some time on the beach. I will bring Annie her favorite biscuit.

This was a long day. I was queen for the day sitting on the porcelain throne most of the time with a stomach virus. This PM I have been out on the front porch cheering the bats on eating the mosquitoes.

I felt sad for trw and antiqueone. For as grumpy as I get sometimes I cannot stand for anyone to get their feelings hurt. I absolutely adore trw and don't think he is an angry man at all but a very sweet loving man who like the rest of us is just doing the best we can with what we have.

I do have a JJ story. Not really about JJ but about why we don't see the blessings in front of us. I have to think about it for a while.

Tami,

AAHH, the great porcelian throne! Grilled cheese sandwiches always helped me, tried the new cherry pepto, no go.

trw,

Love your posts and who gives a sh*t about some ass#ole with a problem. Love to hear your daily reviews on what life is like on the islands.

You are both living the life that I have a few years to go to acheive that, please keep logging on with all of your sometimes silly but always entertaining information. I check daily for your posts.

Thanks,

Mollly

Glad you'll be back, Lizard. Hope you're feeling better this AM, Tam & please post the JJ story. Trw, your detractors are hardly great representations of Christianity & are hardly examples of WWJD. Don't let them get you down.

I got back from KY yesterday. Great to see the sun! This is my first winter trip in a while. I'd forgotten how much static electricity there is during the winter months. I shocked myself every time I got out of a car.

Dad's 85 birthday party was fun. Almost the whole family was there. We gave all the little kids swords and shields from the dollar store and they had battles in the back yard.

Regarding sexuality - I'm hetero, but is certainly didn't CHOOSE to be, I just am. Why would abyone think it would be any different for gays? Does some straight person wake up one morning and say " hey, think I'll try something new"? Silly.

Besides, minding my own business is a full time job.

Glad to be back.

I know what you mean about the static electricity. When we were back in the states this winter hubby and JJ took great delight is rubbing their stocking feet on the carpet and shocking me. I had to threaten them with bodily harm if they didn't quit. Glad you are back on island.

I haven't gotten a thing done today because I've been watching my little grandson, Phoenix, on the computer. My daughter positions him in front of the office cameras in his swing or walker so I can watch and talk to him whenever I want. The only thing is that he can't see me so we need to set up a moniter so he can see us when we talk to him. I think I have found a way that she and the baby can come to the island every few months for a week or so. She is a professional ballerina/contemporary dancer. She has trained, danced and performed all over the world. I was thinking if I could contact all the dance studios and companies here in the VI and PR maybe she could come here and teach master classes every couple of months. That way I could have the baby all to myself and she could go back to a profession that she loves part time until the baby is older. She loved the idea so I hope we can make it work. I miss them terribly.

Happy 100th page everyone!

I'm headed back "home" this week and peeking back in on this thread helps me get in the right mood . . . needs to lighten up a tad maybe? Still waiting for the JJ story and a new TRW observation which always make me think, smile and/or LOL.

Funny about that K-Mart appliance store . . . we discovered it last trip and I had to laugh because everyone had told me about the K-Mart appliance store "out east" ("our K-Mart" is the west one) so when we found the K-Mart at Sunny Isle we thought that was it and were disappointed and convinced "ours" was better. By the time we found the right store we no longer needed a fridge. New a decent charcoal grille though . . . why are they so darn expensive?

Why is everything so expensive on this island? Because it's all shipped in and the cost of renting/buying a building here is high, not to mention utilities, not to mention gross receipts tax, etc... It's expensive here....one of the trade offs. Bring one on your next trip down. Even with the extra bag fee the airline charges it will probably still be cheaper. And generally the furniture stores have cheaper major appliances, with free delivery, which kmart does not.

I realize everything is more expensive, but the grills at K-Mart just seemed wacko expensive. Then again, I have not bought a grill in the states for a while so maybe , , ,

We just shipped a pallet with VI Cargo and now I'm realizing what we forgot - grill and a couple screen doors! Oh well!

Thought about stuffing a grill in a suitcase but . . . I'm going to try to catch an earlier flight in SJU and I don't want checked bags to be an issue. It's so much easier flying through the airport with carry-on. 😉

It's cold and rainy here in B'more for O's opener. Can't wait to get some warm, sunshine on my pasty flesh 😉

LOL well i spent the day yesterday cleaning out and scrubbing my fridge,i have one of these HUGE things and it's been awhile, tomorrow and the next day i tackle the mango tree and the north side of the house, the tim is off for the next 2 days as well so he can help hahahahaha, they've cut hours out sat carambola so no more overtime for him,oh and the WAPA thing,he pays all the house bills and he's been paying the wrong bill for a couple of months so they disconnected us,so i call and they tell me this and we go round and round about why can't wapa get the billing addresses right and i call tim at work and tell him we were disconnected and he has a fit and says i paid and the receipt is on the dresser so i go look and he's been paying the bill on the apt which i had called and disconnected over a month ago,so i go to wapa yesterday morning and have fits and get it all figured out lol it was a scene involving a pregnant women her computer her superviser and a very angry TRW,lol well it all worked out in the end and they came back and turned on the power yesterday afternoon,if he would have just LOOKED at the body of the bill instead of the little piece on the side this could have all been avoided, and i knew last nov when i had the current5 hooked up at the apt something was going to go wrong well it did for some reason the apt bill was going to the house and the house bill was going NOWHERE,once the house bill came to the restaurant so i called and fixed it or so i thought LOL and they fixed it by sending the bill out into cyberspace somewhere

trw,
You are right on. It could certainly be a niche market.
