Been on island since the 15th. Due to all of the great advice it has been a real great adventure. Brought money, patience, listening skills, and the attitude that I must adapt to the island and the people. They can do without me but i need their help and guidance. Much of which you have all provided. Trade, you do a great job, Thank you. I wish you could have helped with the stuff back stateside. They all look like they try hard to make all things difficult from down here. Hope to put face to words some day. Thank You all again.

Congratulations on your move. I hope you have many happy years here. When you inevitably hit a bunch of frustrations what I do is look at one of the tons of staggering views & remind myself why I'm here.
And if it's not for you, at least you tried it & know & will never wonder "what if."

Trade: What you just typed is the best advice I think anyone can offer...
I just shared that with my wife as we are in the PRE planning stage to get down there. I have told her and others that no matter what happens when we get down there, there will be some things that do not go the way we planned or wanted, but...
If all I can do is take a short trip to a view or beach, just sit down and hold my wife, looking at the view, remembering why we went down there, all will be well!
Thanks to you all for helping all of us "mainlanders" get to our paradise.
