Hey y'all quick question...when is the best time to move? spring, summer, fall or winter when it comes in terms of looking for a job. When are the considered busy seasons and when are considered the "dead" seasons, just so that I can move in on the right time.

None are as busy as they should be unfortunately. The high season is traditionally Dec. 15 to April 15. Shoulder season is Nov. to Dec.14 & approximately the first 2 weeks in April. The deadest time of the year is late August to October which coincides with the worst part of the hurricane season. Depending on what you do, there is a real shortage of jobs.

It depends on the kind of job you want. If it is a regular, year around job, it really doesn't matter. If it is a teacher, you really ought to be here for classes in August. 😉 It is probably easier to find housing in the summer, but things are REAL quiet in September.

Depends which islands as well. Technically season starts Dec 15, and the rates do go up then. But on Stx it doesnt really start until xmas week. So its very dead until then.

Also depends on what you do. Best place to find a rental.....I would say after or before season not during.
