She's actually from Long Island. She has a mint green duplicate castle out there. She married a count and he passed away and she still has both castles. When the flag is raised, it means she's on island.

well i have never lived there but visit 4 times a year. i have never met her and heard many rumors but i have met her nephew. apparently he lives up there with her and shes about 80 she had a son but he died at the age of forty leaving his only son. no one knows what happened to the mother. not even he knew. i asked him why he wasn't with his mom and he just said i dont know, because i dont remember her. so theres defiantly a twist. oh and i heard they throw the most elegant parties ever but with a very exclusive guest list. so until next time. ..

You are wrong in everything you stated above, total BS. I know the Countess personally and have been to and stayed at her homes many times. Don't feel bad, almost all the posts here are wrong.

Is this article true, as it applies to the Contessa and her nephew, or is this BS too? I read it last month while web surfing and was really shocked by the implications.
