I am fascinated with this home and would like others to join me in finding out more information on the history, stucture, and re-modeling of them.

I am purchasing the model home in Little Fountain and my friend Winn has the owners home built by the Newkirks. If any one is interested or has new and / or correct information, then please reply.

This wooden home is still in its original form has survived 40 years and Hurricane Hugo. The wood is so strong that my drill bit broke trying to hang a ceiling fan! It has suffered termite damage and rot, but I am living in its present condition.

At night it is so well ventilitated (no A.C.) I have to have a sheet and a blanket on top of a feather bed down comforter.

Please reply if you or a friend of yours has a home of this type.

Thank you
August
