Therapists on St Thomas

I have a friend considering moving from the States who regularly sees a therapist and is worried about finding someone here with whom she feels comfortable. Does anyone have any recommendations for doctors on St Thomas? I think she would prefer someone originally from the States, but has not ruled out a lifetime local doctor.

Josie: Does she have any other requirements? M.D./psychiatrist, Ph.D./psychologist or other/counselor?

Just a suggestion, but perhaps you should register so that others who may feel shy about discussing such a personal issue may email you recommendations?

That said, I am not shy, so I can say that I have had experience with Dr Dianne Brinkker and Dr Ann Barnard.
If you would like specifics, feel free to PM.

Hello there:

Although I am not living or practicing on STT, I probably can look up names of individuals through the ACA or APA for folks who are licensed on STT. Sometimes, I can find short bio's as well. I don't think you ever clarified what type of therapist your friend might be looking for. Although there is quite a bit of overlap, if your friend takes medication, finding someone who has an affiliation with, or is, an M.D. would be important.

Just a few thoughts, and please let me know if I can help,

Dan
